The last of the great Mayan city-states was Chichen Itza, which flourished from roughly 900 AD to 1200 AD, when internal struggles among its elite weakened the city sufficiently that it fell to its eastern rival, the city-state of Mayapan. Its magnificent pyramids and temples, many of which have been extensively restored, make it one of the grandest and most glorious of all Mayan sites in Mexico.

Chichen Itza - Traditional Day Tour:

Chichen Itza - Double-Decker Deluxe Tour:

Do your Mayaland sightseeing in style! Riding in a double-decker motor coach gives you a panoramic view of the countryside as we motor over to CHICHEN ITZA. We offer a continental breakfast and video presentations about the Maya and the Yucatan. Upon arriving at HOTEL MAYALAND, you can enjoy lunch at any of four fine restaurants. Then it's over to the archaeological park, with guide service and entrance fee included. On your return trip to CANCUN, you can enjoy the same splendid view, along with complimentary soft drinks, beer and wine.

Chichen Itza Overnight

For a really in-depth exploration of the ruins, plus a night in this wonderful world of history and natural beauty, this is the only tour of its kind. Tulum and Xel-Ha

This tour combines a trip back in time with visit to an underwater paradise. Your first stop is the Mayan city of TULUM, where majestic ruins look out over the beautiful Yucatan coast. After a guided tour of this unique attraction, it's on to XEL-HA, where you can snorkel amongst the coral and the brightly colored fishes, relax on the beach, and/or explore the smaller Mayan ruins. Your tour includes luxury round-trip transportation, guide service and entrance fees to both parks.

XCARET offers a tremendous variety of ways to experience the beauty, tradition and color of the Yucatan: scuba diving, snorkeling or swimming at the beach; horseback tours; swimming with dolphins in the lagoon; a small zoo; an aquarium; and a botanical garden. Traditional Day Tour To Chichen Itza:

This tour includes round trip transportation in a deluxe vehicle, guide service, entrance fee to the archaeological park and buffet lunch. This tour also offers free use of the Hotel Mayaland's facilities such as the pool, towels and lounge chairs.


Uxmal Day Tour:

Explore the architectural masterpiece of the ancient Maya civilization. This tour leaves Merida at 9:00 am and includes transportation in a deluxe vehicle, guide service and entrance fee to Uxmal. An exquisite lunch is served at the Hacienda Uxmal hotel after the sightseeing. Pool service is available.

Uxmal / Kabah Day Tour:

This tour leaves Merida at 9:00 a.m. and takes you to UXMAL, where you can explore the architectural masterpiece of the ancient Maya civilization. After, visit Kabah where you can admire the beauty of its temples, testimony of the Maya civilization's golden era. Guide service, entrance to the parks, lunch and pool service are included.

Uxmal Light And Sound Show:

This tour leaves MERIDA at 1:30 p.m. visit the classic Maya temples of UXMAL. After the sightseeing, enjoy the pool and the beautiful gardens of the Hacienda Uxmal Hotel. Have dinner at either the beautiful Hacienda Uxmal or in the gardens of the Lodge of Uxmal surrounded by unique Maya Palapas in the heart of UXMAL. Experience the famous Light and Sound Show, acclaimed to be one of the finest in the world. Guide service, entrance to the archaeological park, the Light and Sound Show and Dinner are included.

Merida Early Bird Tour:

Visit Mexico's cleanest city and its 17th Century architecture. This tour starts out from the lobby of the Hotel Casa del Balam in downtown. Walking you will visit the main buildings of this beautiful colonial city; Yucatan's University, Peon Contreras Theater, Casa de Montejo and City Hall. After a short coffee break at a local restaurant, your tour continues to the Governor's Palace with its murals depicting Yucatan's history. Next you will be able to browse and buy local handicrafts at the Lucas de Galvez market. Your transportation will pick you up to visit the Anthropology and History Museum, the Monument to the Independence and an overview visit of Merida's principal residences on Avenida Colon and Paseo de Montejo. Departs at 7:00 a.m. daily (4 hours) with a minimum of 4 passengers.


Northern Merida / Yucatan Tour:

Join us for an afternoon tour to the port of Progreso visiting San Antonio Cucul, an XVII Century hacienda and on to Dzibichaltun, a Mayan ceremonial center and grandest of all Maya museums, The Museo del Pueblo Maya. Continue to Progreso, to stroll on the seaside "malecon" and enjoy a shrimp and seafood dinner with one hour open bar. Departs Mejorada park at 1:00 p.m. daily (6 hours) with a minimum 4 passengers.

Colonial Merida By Horsedrawn Carriage:

Ride amidst colonial neighborhoods and Merida's Cathedral, the Jesuit Convent, Mejorada, Santa Lucia, Santa Ana, San Juan, La candelaria, Las Monjas Convent and La Ermita's XVIII Century church and botanical garden. Ride down an original brick cobble stoned street, considered one of the most colonial in Merida. Each passenger will receive a handout with the history of each of the churches visited. Departs at 4:00 p.m. daily (3 hours) with a minimum of 4 passengers.

Convent Trail:

This unique tour gives you a look at the many historical churches and XVI Century Franciscan Convent that the Spaniards built in the Maya towns. In Ticul, cradle of Yucatan handicrafts, you will visit the market and will enjoy lunch at Los Almendros, the original restaurant of these now famous Mexican cuisine innovators. Tour also includes a visit to the temples at Acanceh and Mayapan. Departs at 8:00 a.m. (7 hours) on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a minimum of 6 passengers.

Celestun Flamingos:

One of the world's largest nesting grounds for the Pink Flamingo. You will see them by boat, flocks at a reasonable close distance. Visit the Petrified Peten Forest, swim and refresh yourself in waterhole combining fresh and salt water. Tour includes lunch at a local seafood restaurant. You will have time to enjoy a beautiful sandy beach and walk through the village of Celestun. Departs at 8: a.m. (8 hours) daily with a minimum of 4 passengers

Izamal And Haciendas Of The Yucatan:

This most interesting tour combines a visit to the second largest arcade in the world (after the Vatican in Rome) and the colonial beauty of the city of Izamal with haciendas that take us to the glory of Yucatan's colonial period, one who's wealth allowed a dozen of them to coin their own gold at the turn of the century. Hacienda Kancabchen, Hacienda Che Che de las Torres, Hacienda Ake and Hacienda San Antonio Cucul are the beautiful haciendas visited along with the archaeological park of Ake, and a henequen plantation and factory. Lunch included in Izamal.
Departs at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays with a minimum of 4 passengers.
