THE LODGE AT CHAA CREEK
Cayo Region, Belize |
|
---|---|
Located in the foothills of the Maya Mountains in Western Belize on a remote river bank setting which creates a feeling of seclusion; an almost perfect compromise between comfort and the wilds. |
This comfortable jungle lodge has twenty thatched cottage rooms set along
the riverside on a 330 acre private reserve in the forested foothills of
the Maya Mountains. Guests are able to interact with nature in an
environment of tranquillity and peace. Miles of walking trails, Maya
temple sites, and the Macal River are just a few attractions; not to
mention the 200 species of birds sighted on the property.
Each cottage has Mexican tiled floors, large mahogany beds and private bathrooms with hot and cold showers. Ceiling fans supplement the natural cool mountain breezes. |
The cuisine features a mixture of Caribbean, Mexican and Belizean
dishes served in the elegant open air, thatch-roofed restaurant.
In the evenings you can indulge in candle-lit dinner or simply enjoy the intimate oil-lamp atmosphere and sophistication of the colonial-style bar and open-air verandah. The dining room, bar and cottages are constructed from local hardwoods and thatched with "bay leaf" palm. |
Set above Belize's Macal River in the midst of a private 330 acre nature
reserve with a panoramic view of the Mayan Mountains and lush Caribbean
rainforest, the Spa at Chaa Creek offers a tranquil and extraordinary
sensory experience which promotes harmony between the inner and outer self.
